How Is EASNA Different from Other Employee Assistance Associations?
EASNA is a bi-national association whose members consist of individuals, organizations, employers, and students in Canada and the US.Comprised of thought leaders and change agents, EASNA is focused on ensuring that the EA field continues to grow and flourish by broadening its base of engaged and committed stakeholders. We are committed to encouraging high standards of quality through a unique accreditation program, research efforts, educational events, publications, and online resources.
EASNA provides a forum for continuous educational and networking opportunities that promote professional development. We share topical news and information that affect the health and performance of individuals and organizations and encourage and promote the sharing of EA best practices and technologies.
What Are the Benefits Members Receive?
Members receive a variety of benefits:- The Journal of Workplace Behavioral Health, a unique journal, is the only peer-reviewed research journal dedicated to issues affecting the workplace.
- The e-Source Newsletter, which provides quarterly news about EASNA, EAP, worklife, health and wellness, and other industry-related topics.
- A $100 registration discount when attending the EASNA Institute, our annual conference.
- Access to the EASNA website, with features sucha as an expanded Members Only section. Members have exclusive access to research reports and can participate in a bulletin board that will join them with other members across North America, where information and questions can be shared and aired.
- Convenient, affordable training online that allows members to earn continuing education units and professional development hours at their leisure. This high-quality, online training is provided at a reduced rate for EASNA members and offers more than 200 classes on such topics as Cultural Issues in Mental Health Treatment, Healthy Weight—The Role of the EAP, Resilience, and Workplace Sexual Harassment.
- Subscriptions to the monthly Work & Family Newsbrief, The Trend Report, and Manager’s Quarterly, published by the Work & Family Connection’s Work/Life Clearinghouse.

What Special Benefits Do Organizational Members Receive?
In addition to all of the benefits listed above, EASNA offers additional benefits for its Organizational members. There are three Organizational membership levels, based on the company’s size. All receive these benefits:- Accreditation Program for providers of employee assistance programs through the Council on Accreditation. Organizational members receive a substantial discount on the accreditation fee (the amount depends on the member’s Organizational membership level).
- Access our Members Only website, which includes all electronic publications and discussion boards.
- Organizational members that are also sponsors of our annual conference, the EASNA Institute, receive a 10% reduction on any sponsorship (described in our sponsorship brochure).
- A $100 savings on the Institute registration fee.
- Reduced posting fee when using the Career Services website. (The savings varies based on the duration of the posting.)
