Help for EAPs Seeking Accreditation
EASNA has always had a formal mentoring program to help those seeking accreditation. That program has been updated to fit with the new EAP Standards, second edition, published by the Council on Accreditation. A program that has formally applied to the Council on Accreditation will have the option of being assigned an EASNA Mentor if they are an organizational member of EASNA. That mentor, who has been especially trained, will provide up to four hours of free help to the program. After those four hours, the agency can contract individually with the mentor for on-going help with EASNAĆs approval. This may include help understanding a standard, help with a policy or procedure, learning what quality indicators are, or many other things. Technical assistance or help setting up the study guide will be available through the Council on Accreditation. So if your program is considering accreditation, or already engaged in the process, you'll want to take advantage of this tremendous asset available only to EASNA members.
