30th Annual EASNA Institute, May 9-11, 2018

CALL FOR PRESENTERS

The Employee Assistance Society of North America, is seeking creative learning experiences for its upcoming 2018 Annual Institute, scheduled for May 9-11th in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We hope to include speakers that will enlighten and engage consultants, benefit advisors, EA professionals and employer representatives of work organizations that purchase EAPs, work/life, wellness and health benefit services.  Proposals are due November 8, 2017. Presentations most likely to be selected will be in support of the 2018 Annual Institute theme: Advancing Emotional Well-Being at Work: What’s New, What’s Next and which demonstrate best practices and emerging trends which increase mental health, resilience, productivity & risk management efforts in the workplace.

Call for Presentations Schedule:

  • November 8, 2017, deadline for submissions
  • Late December 2017, submitters notified whether they have been selected
  • Early 2017, Institute schedule announced

Specific Topics:

Our goal is to provide an array of compelling presentations in keeping with the Institute theme. Proposed seminar submissions should address one of these preferred topics of interest:

  • Innovations in workplace and behavioral health
  • Legislative changes impacting mental health at work
  • Mitigating risks that today’s challenges pose to employers.

Seminar Formats:

This year, EASNA plans to offer ten general sessions, including four shorter (15-minute) dynamic rapid-fire presentations. Each session will be plenary, all Institute participants will be included. We anticipate the 2018 Curriculum to be comprised of the following session formats:

  • Three (3) 90-minute sessions
  • Three (3) 75-minute sessions
  • Four (4) 15-minute rapid fire sessions

Presentation Style & Content:

To provide a quality learning experience for Institute participants, we encourage proposals that include any or all the following components:

  • Creative use of learning media
  • Employer and Labor representation
  • Real-life workplace experiences of success
  • Global perspectives on EAPs and workplace mental health
  • Best practices and knowledge transfer to EA and other workplace professionals
